The Glass Mountain Boldface Chapbook is a collection of writings, short stories and poetry produced by the Creative Writing Department of the University of Houston. The stories and poems portray very intimate and personal scenarios in which characters provoke strong emotions but also reveal vulnerabilities.

Houston Food Bank
Scale Model & Book
print, cardboard, styrofoam,
wood, steel wire
24" × 50" × 8"
print, wood, aluminum sheet
7 " × 8"
The Houston Food Bank is in the process of assuming a new and much larger space. In small collaborative groups, our task was to inform and enhance the new facility with large scale environmental graphics and three-dimensional enhancements.
A narrative was created from an industrial context of the food bank by breaking the process down to its simplest form. Give, sort, package and serve were four steps that ultimately transform donated consumables into nutritious meals. Iconography, imagery, surfaces and messaging were used as visual components to our design proposal. This approach speaks of a strong driving force, which was a vital component in supporting the mission and goals of Houston Food Bank.
